Internal fit out

Last week was very productive with all the internal cabinetry installed and the benchtops measured up for the Caesarstone.

First up was the kitchen and Butler’s Pantry:

Kookaburra on the Hill’s Hoist

Author: lunar62

Having lived here as a child in the 60's I fell in love with Australia and always hoped to one day be able to visit again. So when the opportunity came to move here with my husband's job we decided nothing ventured nothing gained and decided to go for it even though it was hard to leave our family and friends behind in the UK. So now we're here lock, stock and barrel, children and pets too and embarking on building a new home.

  1. Love the kookaburra keeping a watchful eye 😉
You know I really like the two different colours in the kitchen cabinetry, I almost did the same!
I like how you’ve gone for the thick shelves too, I think it looks much nicer than the standard.

    • Thanks trixee 🙂
We saw the two tone kitchens in some show homes and liked it. I pinched the thick shelves idea from two other builder’s show homes. We did visit rather a lot of show homes!

  2. Excellent progress. The shelves look fantastic. These details make ALL the difference.

    • Thanks Johanne.
We’ve tried to put a few features into the house to add interest. Then hopefully by adding a splash of feature colour paint it will give it a lift too. Now just to decide on the feature colour…
