Majestic 40 at Gardener's Ridge

building a Wisdom Majestic in North Kellyville

Land registered

Well almost…

Our developer notified us last week that it has registered on schedule which is good news :).

However it turns out it is LPI (Land & Property Information) registered which is the stage prior to Council registration – so we’re nearly there. We’ll hopefully be all done and dusted this week.

We have notified the bank to get the funds ready so whilst we wait I’ve taken a trip down memory lane.

I read somewhere that a person lives on average seven years in a house. I thought that didn’t sound very long but looking back at our homes, on average, we fit the bill – four houses in 28 years of marriage and renting number 5 whilst we build number 6.

So lets do the time warp now ….

#1: 1986 Our first home, a Barratt new build, ‘Wellington’ design, in Norfolk, UK

#2: 1988 another Barratt new build, ‘Carlton’ design, in Norfolk, UK

#3: 1992 Charles Church ‘Oakley’ design, Company move to Hampshire, UK. Downsize time as it’s a more expensive area 😦  but closer to family 🙂 🙂

#4: 1998 Charles Church ‘Lichfield’ design, Hampshire, UK not a million miles away from #3 – well OK – directly opposite!

#5: 2012 move lock, stock & barrel to renting in NSW

5 Ben Place

#6: 2014/5 a Wisdom Majestic at Gardener’s Ridge

**** watch this space ****

p.s my youngest would be more interested in the car time line than the house one!

Having lived here as a child in the 60's I fell in love with Australia and always hoped to one day be able to visit again. So when the opportunity came to move here with my husband's job we decided nothing ventured nothing gained and decided to go for it even though it was hard to leave our family and friends behind in the UK. So now we're here lock, stock and barrel, children and pets too and embarking on building a new home.

  1. And we also have house numbers! I checked on Hills Shire site today and saw that council have allocated numbers in Willandra.

  2. I love the trip down memory lane. You are quite consistent! Even the Australian house would fit in with the others. I’ve got a feeling you are about to diverge!

  3. Just rechecked your house plans. Not too different in style. You know what you like!

    • It will be a big change inside this time for us going for open plan contemporary. We’ve always been a tad old fashioned really so it’s all change downstairs. I shall keep watching The Block but that is a bit too modern for me .. Baby steps ..

  4. I’m with James on the car timeline. 😃

  5. Thought you’d like the cars more 🙂
Still remember you painting the car in Raploch…..
